Every Omega Services hot water technician is qualified for their trade and has a valid license to carry out the work you need in your property. We have all undergone rigorous training so we have all the experience you need.
By law, all plumbers, gas fitters, and electricians in Sydney have to be licensed and regulated by the Office Of Fair Trading.

For many people, hot water is that stuff that comes out of the tap when you turn on the tap. In many cases, it’s not front of mind until it either changes colour or doesn’t get hot. Every day Omega Services hot water technicians answer questions about hot water systems like; What system should I get? Should I replace the system or repair it? Gas or electric?
Hot water storage come in two forms, gas or electric. Gas storage systems are highly effective and heat hot water fast. They come in varying sizes and are a cost effective way to get hot water for a large family. Electric storage hot water systems come in a range of sizes to suit your needs, from 50 litres suiting a small apartment, to 400 litres for a large family. Electric storage can be set to consume electricity off peak so you get a lower electricity bill. Of course you can select a dual element model which will heat water during the day, so there is less chance you will run out of hotwater.
Continuous flow systems also come in two forms, gas or electric. The gas continuous flow systems are highly energy-efficient, and only turn on when you need. The electric continuous flow systems use a substantial amount of energy, so if your property does not have access to gas, then electric storage might be a better option, the size of the storage depends on how many people in the house and how much hot water you use.

We called Omega Services to come out and check out our broken kitchen tap having used their services in the past for other plumbing work. Edit: Mitchell arrived and was very friendly and helpful.Very friendly but weird booking process. Booked online, described problems, opted for afternoon visit. Got a call back quickly which was nice, asked to describe problem. Already did that online. Told to expect plumber at... 9am (which is fine, not the afternoon though), I'm regularly up late so thought I'd sleep until then. Missed "courtesy" calls as phone on silent, they were trying to confirm I'm around. Thus job was delayed til later today. I was already told 9am so yes I am around. It's fine but advance warning of this process would have been nice and I appreciate why confirming I'm around is important but it's a courtesy for Omega not for me.Judging by others reviews I'm confident the job will be well done whenever it gets done today.read more

Andrew and Adam from Omega Plumbing and Home Services did an excellent job in renewing my Sewerage and complete drainage system of my old home in Winston Hills. Matt and Jarred initially did the investigation and provided very courteous and professional service. Mat was very... friendly and explained all that was happening with the pipeline expected to be done in the 1970s. Andrew was very sincere, diligent in his work and most importantly was spot on, in terms of communicating the plans for the day, and what was getting done when. First Adam arrived promptly and strongly encouraged me to watch him jet the sewer line so I could understand any problems as to why sewerage overflowed outside and my house flooded with bath water. From the moment I called Omega Home Services, Ryan was the first to come out, our water heater was leaking. Of course it has to be replaced. Nelson from Omega Services came and installed a brand new hot water system for us last week. The water heater delivered the first time was found to be faulty. Nelson and his colleague immediately got in touch with the company and quickly arranged for its replacement. The new one... was delivered right next day. In the meantime, to make sure that we did not have to suffer a 24-hour waiting period without hot water running in the house during winter time, Nelson and his colleague installed us a temporary hot-water system. In a lot of cases, hot water tanks that don’t produce hot water have a faulty thermometer. Our technicians can asses the problem for you and carry out repairs if necessary.
First, check to make sure nobody has adjusted your thermostat. If your thermostat looks as though it’s set at a lower temperature than usual, readjust it and see what happens.
If you notice a dip in hot water levels during the winter, try increasing your thermostat temperature. Some hot water systems need to work harder to fight against the cold outside.
In some cases, a broken thermostat or faulty wiring is to blame. Our technicians will soon identify whether this is the case. Alternatively, you may just need a new hot water installation. If a tank is too small for your family’s needs, getting a replacement is the way forward.
If you’ve just moved into a property and it’s taking a long time for your water to reheat, it may be that you’re using an electric system rather than a gas one. Electric systems take longer to heat water. Alternatively, if there’s a longer lag than normal, the problem could be with your heat sensors.
